For millions of people, acquiring sufficient food is a daily struggle; parents face the painful reality of being unable to provide their children with a meal to start and break their fast. And with resource depletion, food availability and financial resources are even harder to come by for our already-vulnerable communities. Based on our experience, 2023 was a very hard year for poor families in Afghanistan, since our team is working on the ground for many years in different parts of Afghanistan.
During our major campaign appeal, hundreds of families were waited outside, begging to give them some food so they can at least survive but unfortunately we couldn’t help all of them. In fact, working on the ground and watching all the suffering these poor families are going through in life is not easy.
